This will be the last post of our blog....needless to say, this did not turn out like how we had hoped it would. We would like to thank all of you who have sent text/emails/cards/flowers/food. Your kindness has meant so much to us and our husbands.
N & J came with me to our first Doctor's appointment on Monday, the 24th. We were going to hear the heartbeat....but there was no heartbeat. A sonogram confirmed our worst fears. Because we were 16 weeks along, Dr. M said that the baby would need to be delivered. We went straight to the hospital, where Cytotec was used to induce labor. By Wednesday morning, it was obvious that the medicine was not working. Dr. M released me in the hopes that if my mind and body were allowed to rest for a few days, that the medicine would work. We went back into the hospital Sunday night, the 30th. The medicine was increased and dispensed in 4 hour increments. At approximately 11:15 pm on Monday, the 31st, the baby was born. He was beautiful and perfect, and very small.
There is no explanation, except that this was not meant to be....which some days gives very little comfort. But we would never want this child to suffer, not one second, so at this point - that is explanation enough. The nurses were very kind and went to great lengths in their compassion. N & I were both given a box with a bracelet for the baby and a card with his footprints...I can not tell you the amount of comfort this has brought us both. Every time we look upon these perfect little feet, we smile....and we know that we have truly looked upon the face of an Angel....

BON VOYAGE!!!
I have the GREATEST husband in the world. For our anniversary he surprised me with a cruise!!!! We leave tomorrow. Of course, I called N to get the seal of approval. Not a problem! I also have a letter from the Dr. saying that I am good to go. We're packed and ready - leaving tomorrow morning! Can you say 80 degrees with a book in my hand???!!!!!
So ready for this much needed escape!
The nausea comes and go, so I'm hopeful that it will be gone during the next 5 days!
I called N this morning after melting the ice off of my windshield and told her that I think this baby is very confused - She or He thought they had pulled a Florida Tag!!

BUMMER....
They had to cancel our appointment. Dr M had a personal emergency. Every body is allowed a day off, but still a little bummed. We are rescheduled for the morning of the 24th. N & I have such busy schedules, that's what we could work out!
Oh, well - life moves on....

Lucky 13!!!
We are 13 Weeks tomorrow! And I have not been sick since my last post!!! YEAH! Thanks to all those who called and emailed to check on me. I can't complain - sick is a good thing.
Just cruising right along - everything is good. Looking forward to the Dr's appointment on Wednesday, except for getting on the scale. Thinking about skipping that part! ;)
We'll keep you posted....
